The minutes of the experts meetings organized as part of the activity development for the Art Nouveau Digital Catalogue are available now. Therefore the methods applied by the project partners during the implementation, the main obstacles and the solutions identified can be a source of inspiration for future similar initiatives.
The document includes information extracted from three meetings (June – September 2021) in order to highlight the methodological path and outlines the steps to define the type of content to be detailed in the Art Nouveau Digital Catalogue [ANDC]. The Expert meeting from February 2022 is detailed, focusing on the test for providing data. Furthermore, the document presents the situations/obstacles and the identified solutions for the development of the ANDC.
The document summarizes the project partners meeting (October 2021 – October 2022) regarding the development of the Art Nouveau Digital Catalogue [ANDC] and outlines the steps to define its content. The document will be read together with the “Methodology – Part I and Minute of the First Expert Meeting” (Step 1-4), in order to have an overall understanding of the ANDC development process.
The publication of the ‘Admin User Guideline’, dedicated to contributors of data for the ANDC platform, welcomes the specialists from research institutions who want to help to the development of the ANDC platform. The Art Nouveau Digital Catalogue acts as a joint platform for research and it provides support for the professionals in identifying and accessing relevant information about the Art Nouveau artistic movement.
The Austrian Museum of Applied Arts possesses relevant important documents which were not available in digital format, but MAK proceeded with digitizing them through the ARTNOUVEAU2 project.
